On Kabakum Beach, people discovered a drone fragment approximately two meters wide and 1.5 meters long. A specialized team from the Bulgarian Navy inspected it and transported it to the naval base in Varna for further examination.

Bulgaria's Ministry of Defense said the fragment contained no explosives.

Parts of another drone were found on Pasha Dere Beach near Varna.

Bulgarian authorities have not yet determined whether the two incidents are connected or whether the devices were of the same origin or intended for the same purpose.

The day before, on August 25, another drone was spotted at sea between the town of Tsarevo and the village of Varvara. A specialized Navy team transported it to the naval base in Burgas. The Ministry of Defense later identified it as a reconnaissance drone that posed no danger.
