Ukrainian JATEC Experts Advise NATO Troops On Countering Drones

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Ministry of Defence stated this on its webiste, according to Ukrinform.

"LCI-X 3-26 Execution was the third stage of the exercises aimed at testing and integrating counter-drone solutions in support of NATO's eastern flank," the statement said.

The exercises took place this month in Latvia as part of Exercise Baltic Trust, with the participation of more than 1,000 military personnel from 25 NATO countries and Ukraine.

According to the report, the third phase of the LCI-X experimentation moved from working with separate counter-drone elements to multi-element integration at the tactical level and into NATO command-and-control systems.

Ukrainian experts focused on aligning NATO's experiments with the realities of the current battlefield. In particular, they adjusted the scenario to reflect frontline conditions, providing recommendations on the exercise concept before it began and adjusting UAV flight parameters. They also monitored the actions of the "simulated enemy." JATEC specialists monitored and coordinated the simulated enemy crews, ensuring that flight plans and threat profiles were followed precisely.

The Ministry of Defence emphasized that the systematic involvement of Ukrainian servicemen with combat experience in joint activities with the Alliance not only strengthens the defensive capabilities of partners but also accelerates the operational interoperability of Ukraine's Defence Forces with NATO standards and systems.

As Ukrinform reported, JATEC is working to find technological solutions to protect tactical vehicles and military personnel on the battlefield, which is essential for ensuring the full-scale evacuation of wounded personnel.
