Dr. Jordan Shurr is a Professor of Special and Inclusive Education at Queen's University in Canada where he teaches, mentors emerging scholars, and conducts research in the area of special and inclusive education for students with disabilities. This work includes published books, book chapters, and peer-reviewed empirical studies with a focus on curricular supports for students with significant support needs, the various complex facets and notion of inclusive education, as well as pedagogical training and supports for teachers. His collaborative work has been highlighted in venues across North America and Europe. In addition, Dr. Shurr is the founding director of the ADD*Ed (Autism and Developmental Disabilities; ) Research Group and Executive Director of the Division on Autism and Developmental Disabilities of the Council for Exceptional Children. Previously, he has worked as a camp inclusion coordinator, a preschool and elementary special education teacher, and an assistive technology consultant.
