Gaza Rescue Teams Recover Palestinian Remains from Destroyed Buildings
(MENAFN) Civil Defense crews recover the remains of 20 Palestinians from beneath the ruins of buildings in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood on Wednesday, according to reports.
The victims, who belonged to the Selmi and Al-Haddad families, were killed during an earlier Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip, reports say.
The recovery operation takes place as Civil Defense teams continue searching through destroyed sites across the enclave in an effort to locate Palestinians who remain trapped under the debris left by Israeli attacks.
Rescue workers face extensive destruction as they search through collapsed buildings and damaged areas for those still unaccounted for.
Thousands of Palestinians are believed to remain missing, with many thought to be buried beneath the rubble of structures destroyed during Israel’s war in Gaza.
