(MENAFN- Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA)) A musical performance connecting Brazil and Arab countries was part of the opening of the Brazil & Arab Countries Economic Forum, held on Tuesday (25) in São Paulo by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC ). William Bordokan-Trio Layalina performed an original repertoire celebrating Arab and Brazilian folk music through samba, choro and baião. In addition to William Bordokan, on nay flute, buzuk and vocals, the group features Alê Cueva on seven-string guitar and Marcus Simon on percussion. The group also performed during the forum.

The forum, organized by the ABCC, is sponsored by Fambras Halal, International Halal Academy, Vale, DP World, Cdial Halal, First Abu Dhabi Bank, MBRF Global Foods Company, Qatar Airways and MZAH Group Investment. Institutional supporters include the Arab League, the Union of Arab Chambers and the Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia. Cacilda Aragão Tours is a partner.
