President Of Libya's High Council Meets Minister Of State At Ministry Of Foreign Affairs
Tripoli: President of the State of Libya's High Council HE Dr. Mohammed Muftah Takala met in Tripoli today with Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi.
The meeting dealt with discussing bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and further develop them. The meeting also dealt with the latest regional developments, and a number of issues of mutual interest.
HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Qatar's support for Libya's unity and stability and its commitment to supporting the political process and peaceful solutions that meet the aspirations of the Libyan people and preserve Libya's sovereignty.
His Excellency also stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and supporting mediation and national reconciliation efforts in a manner that contributes to strengthening consensus among Libyans and creating conditions conducive to stability.
He affirmed that the State of Qatar would continue its engagement with various Libyan parties and leaders in support of United Nations efforts to reach a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement.
