The national initiative Talent Costa Rica continues its journey through different regions of the country, arriving this time in Puntarenas to offer a direct window of job opportunities and technical training programs for residents of the coastal province.

This effort aims to decentralize employment opportunities and connect local talent with national and international companies seeking qualified personnel across various fields.

Key Highlights of the Initiative in Puntarenas:

  • Available Vacancies: The fair and platform offer job openings in strategic sectors such as tourism, commerce, services, manufacturing, and logistics operations tailored to the local area.
  • Training Opportunities: In addition to job openings, free or low-cost specialized training programs and courses are provided to improve participants' professional profiles and prepare them for current market demands.
  • Support for Local Employment: This tour seeks to mitigate regional unemployment, facilitating direct access to recruitment processes without the need to travel to the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM).

Each event on the Talent Costa Rica tour is tailored to the characteristics and economic needs of the region where it takes place. In addition, at each event, an application process is held to preselect a group of ten women per region, as part of an initiative that will benefit 50 women per year, from 2026 to 2028, enabling them to pursue technical, university, or English language studies in fields with high labor demand.

This support is made possible through a partnership between PROCOMER, the CARICACO Foundation, and the National Commission for Educational Loans (CONAPE), through which the selected women will be able to access financing to cover their studies. The benefit also includes the waiver of a portion of the financed amount once the beneficiary successfully completes the study program and provides proof of completion; therefore, she will not be required to repay the full amount received.

The arrival of Talent Costa Rica in Puntarenas represents a key opportunity for the region's socioeconomic development, boosting both employability and the competitiveness of local talent.
