US Puts USD10M Bounties on Five Top Iranian IRGC Commanders
(MENAFN) The United States is offering rewards of up to $10 million for information that helps identify or locate five senior commanders within Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the State Department's Rewards for Justice program announced Monday.
The named targets are IRGC Commander Ahmad Vahidi, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters chief Ali Abdollahi, IRGC Aerospace Force UAV commander Sa'id Aghajani, IRGC Cyber-Electronic Command chief Hamidreza Zolasgharian, and IRGC Intelligence Office commander Majid Khademi.
“These individuals command and direct various elements of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which plans, organizes, and executes terrorism around the World,” Rewards for Justice said in a post on X.
Beyond the cash reward, individuals who come forward with actionable information may also be eligible for relocation assistance, the program said.
The announcement lands amid persistent friction between Washington and Tehran, building on earlier US efforts to gather intelligence on senior Iranian officials and IRGC leadership figures.
Washington has classified the IRGC as a Foreign Terrorist Organization since 2019, and has repeatedly accused the force and its various branches of backing armed groups and carrying out operations that endanger US personnel and infrastructure.
