Strong Earthquake Strikes Southeastern Taiwan
(MENAFN) A 5.8 magnitude earthquake jolts southeastern Taiwan on Tuesday, with the tremor striking offshore in the region, according to local authorities.
The earthquake occurs at approximately 3 p.m. local time, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA). The epicenter is recorded at sea, around 48 kilometers (29.8 miles) east-southeast of Taitung County Hall.
