Israel Keeps Breaching Ceasefire, Killing Nine in Gaza Strip

(MENAFN) Nine more Palestinians die in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours as a result of Israeli military fire, bringing the reported death toll since October 2023 to 73,431, according to the Health Ministry.

The ministry says the latest casualties include six Palestinians killed directly by Israeli forces, two who later succumb to their injuries and another whose body is recovered from beneath the rubble.

A further 36 people sustain injuries during the same period, raising the total number of reported injuries in Gaza to 174,437.

Medical sources say two of the latest deaths result from wounds previously suffered in Israeli attacks. One Palestinian reportedly dies after being injured in Israeli shelling west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Monday.

Another Palestinian dies from critical injuries sustained several days earlier during an Israeli strike that hit the Al-Amal neighborhood in Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, reports from the area indicate that Israeli military vehicles conduct intense gunfire toward residential buildings and tents where displaced Palestinians are sheltering in locations south of Khan Younis.

The latest casualties come as Gaza continues to face extensive destruction and a mounting humanitarian crisis amid ongoing Israeli military operations.
