Drone Violates Moldovan, Romanian Airspace Amid Russian Attack On Ukraine
According to Moldova's Ministry of Defense, the drone entered the country's airspace at 5:55 a.m. It came from the direction of Vynohradivka in Odesa region and headed toward Vulcănești in Gagauzia.
At 6:09 a.m., the drone was detected leaving Moldovan airspace near the village of Pașcani in Cahul District and heading toward Romania, in the direction of the settlement of Vedești.
The Ministry of Defense said that airspace in southern Moldova was restricted for 15 minutes, after which it was reopened.
The ministry clarified that the origin of the drone has not yet been identifiedd.
According to the ministry, the airspace violation occurred following Russian air attacks on Ukraine overnight.
Romania's Ministry of Defense also reported that at around 6:00 a.m., the Romanian radar system detected intermittent signals in Moldovan airspace near Cahul. Later, one of the signals appeared over Romania's Târgu Bujor area in Galați County.
Two Romanian Air Force F-16 fighter jets and an IAR-330 SOCAT helicopter were scrambled to monitor the situation.

In addition, an alert was issued in the relevant area via the RO-Alert system at 6:12 a.m.
