Swedish FM Arrives In Kyiv
“Welcome to Kyiv on our Independence Day, dear Maria,” Sybiha wrote.
He noted that today's talks with his Swedish counterpart focused on concrete steps to protect Ukraine from Russian ballistic terror.
“Swedish Gripen fighter jets are preparing to defend Ukrainian skies. We discussed the timeline for implementing the agreements reached by our leaders, as well as ongoing work on the bilateral Drone Deal,” the minister said.
Sybiha added that he briefed the Swedish foreign minister on the situation on the battlefield and stressed the need to neutralize Russian threats in the Black Sea to ensure freedom of navigation and uninterrupted grain exports to global markets.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, on Monday morning, UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden, Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Estonian President Alar Karis, and European Council President António Costa arrived in the Ukrainian capital.
