Pezeshkian Says Iran Rejects Concessions, Seeks End to Uncertainty
(MENAFN) Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says Tehran has no intention of making concessions while stressing the need to move beyond the current “no war, no peace” situation.
He says Iranian officials are holding near-daily discussions on finding a way out of the uncertainty and reaching an understanding that protects Iran’s principles and values while discouraging any future attacks.
According to Pezeshkian, war is not a solution, but continued uncertainty over the possibility of renewed fighting is also placing pressure on Iran’s economy.
He warns that attracting investment remains difficult while the threat of another conflict persists, emphasizing the need to resolve the situation through logic while preserving Iran’s strength.
The Iranian president also defends the recent memorandum with the US, saying it does not contain any provision requiring Tehran to surrender or make concessions.
Iran and the US signed the memorandum of understanding in June through Pakistani and Qatari mediation, ending hostilities that began in February and opening the way for negotiations toward a final agreement.
