The online process involves entering property and party details, preparing the agreement, paying the applicable charges and completing registration through the sub-registrar's office.

Here is the step-by-step process:1. Log on to the IGR website

Applicants need to visit the official Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website and go to the "New Entry" section.

They must select the relevant district, create and confirm a password and enter the captcha.

The next step involves providing details of the property, including:

7. Registration and download

After payment and submission, the agreement is registered with the sub-registrar's office (SRO).

Pune records highest online registrations

The Pune joint district registrar office recorded 2.44 lakh online leave and licence registrations between April and August 20, 2026, the highest in the Pune region during the period.

Across Maharashtra, 7.05 lakh online leave and licence registrations were recorded during the same period.

These registrations generated ₹984.64 crore in stamp duty and ₹658.3 crore in registration fees.
