stc concludes summer youth training program and recognizes winning student project
(MENAFN- Morimak) Kuwait, 22 August 2026: Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, concluded its summer youth training program following an intensive month-long journey that provided university students with practical exposure to the corporate environment. Throughout the program, participants had the opportunity to learn directly from specialists across different areas of the business, experience the dynamics of the workplace and put their knowledge into practice through hands-on activities and challenges.
The experience was designed to take students beyond the traditional training environment and introduce them to different aspects of professional life. Participants attended lectures, workshops and specialized sessions covering marketing, public relations, corporate communications, content creation and customer experience. As the program progressed, students were encouraged to apply what they had learned through practical activities that brought them together to exchange ideas and experience the value of collaboration in turning those ideas into meaningful outcomes.
This journey ultimately led participants to one of the program’s main challenges, where they worked in teams to develop innovative ideas for new products, services or solutions. The challenge gave students the freedom to think creatively while applying the knowledge and perspectives they had gained throughout their training. Each team then had the opportunity to bring their idea to life by presenting their final project before a specialized judging committee. The submissions were evaluated based on the strength of the idea, marketing strategy, quality of execution and presentation, as well as the collaboration demonstrated by each team.
Following the final presentations, stc recognized the team behind the best project, celebrating the creativity of its concept and the quality of the proposed solution. The recognition marked an important milestone for the students, giving them the opportunity to see their work evaluated within a professional setting after spending the program developing their skills and ideas. Taking the experience a step further, stc will study the possibility of applying the winning concept into an implementable project, in line with the Company’s ongoing commitment to empower the youth, while supporting their initiatives in ways that can truly show their potential.
The conclusion of the program also provided an opportunity to recognize all participating students for the commitment and enthusiasm they demonstrated throughout their training journey. Beyond the knowledge gained during the sessions, the experience offered participants a closer look at the professional lifestyle and provided them with an opportunity to develop skills that complement their academic studies as they prepare for the next stage of their careers.
In a statement, stc indicated that the summer youth training program comes as part of the Company’s continued commitment to invest in young national talent and create learning opportunities that connect academic knowledge with practical experience. Providing students with direct exposure to a professional working environment allows them to discover their capabilities, explore their interests and gain valuable experience that can help them make more informed decisions as they begin shaping their career paths.
The Company added that empowering young people goes beyond providing them with knowledge, but also requires creating an environment where they can experiment with their ideas and learn through experience. The enthusiasm demonstrated by the students throughout the program, particularly when developing and presenting their final projects, reflects the potential of young national talent when given the opportunity to contribute. stc will continue supporting training and educational programs that help prepare students for the workforce while encouraging them to play an active role in the future development of Kuwait’s telecom and digital sectors.
