NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar's PA's 15-Year-Old Daughter Found Dead In Maharashtra's Baramati Probe Underway


(MENAFN- Live Mint) NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar's personal assistant Ajit Dashavatare's 15-year-old daughter was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Baramati in Maharashtra's Pune district on Sunday, officials said.

Police said an investigation was underway and that all possible angles were being examined. The girl's body was recovered from near her home in the Sainagar area of Rui village in Baramati tehsil on Sunday morning.

According to PTI citing sources, the girl had a minor disagreement with her mother over an issue on Saturday and left home in anger. When she failed to return, her family approached the police and lodged a missing complaint.

Officials identified the deceased as the daughter of Pawar's PA, Ajit Dashavatare.

Police were informed following the incident and reached the spot, after which the body was sent to Baramati Government Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

"The police have launched an investigation into the case and are examining all possible angles," a senior official said.

Meanwhile, Pawar, during a conversation with reporters, mourned the tragic death of Ajit's daughter, and said that he has asked Deputy SP for a thorough probe to know what occurred.

Pawar mentioned Ajit had been working with him since his Zilla Parishad days and expressed concern over the incident involving such a young child. He stressed that there should be no negligence during the post-mortem process.

"My private assistant Ajit's 15-year-old daughter went missing last night, and a police complaint was filed. After search efforts by the family and police, her body was found near their building at around 8.30am today. Her post-mortem is underway at the Baramati Medical College. We have asked the Deputy SP to conduct a proper investigation to determine what happened. A family wants justice. CCTV footage is being examined..." Pawar stated, according to ANI.

14-year-old girl found dead in girls shelter home in Mathura

A 14-year-old girl was found dead at the Rajkiya Balika Sanrakshan Grah (Government Girls Shelter Home) in Mathura, Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said on Saturday.

Police suspect that two girls who were inside the washroom attached to the deceased's room may have been involved in the incident.

SSP Shlok Kumar said police registered a case based on a complaint filed by the shelter home's head, noting a magisterial inquiry has also been ordered into the matter.

The girl's body was sent for a post-mortem examination.

"Along with the District Magistrate, I inspected the shelter home and spoke to the two accused girls and the other girls there. The circumstantial evidence collected so far indicates the two accused girls' role in the incident," he added.

SSP Mathura said further details would come to light as the police and magisterial investigations progress.
