Dr Cindy Hendrikse holds a PhD in Aviation Law from the University of Cape Town and an Advanced LLM in International Air and Space from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. As a former Air Traffic Services Officer and operational instructor, she focuses her research on the impact of automation and artificial intelligence on air traffic controllers, with particular emphasis on aviation safety and the legal and regulatory frameworks governing emerging aviation technologies.
