Profile Articles

I am a social scientist from a qualitative background. My current research looks at Japanese science diplomacy, and though that lens I take an interest in Arctic and polar geopolitics, AI governance, and development-related transfers of technology and knowledge.

Prior to beginning my DPhil, I completed my MPhil also at Oxford, and prior to that I worked for the secretariat of Arctic Circle in Reykjavík, Iceland. In 2022, I worked as a research fellow at the Caucasus Research Resource Centre in Yerevan and at the American University of Armenia. Then, in 2023, I was a visiting researcher in the University of Hokkaido's Arctic Research Centre.
