At Charles Sturt University, I serve as Director of Academic Quality, Standards, and Integrity. My portfolio spans strategic direction, governance frameworks, and policy development across teaching and learning.

I am the creator of the multi-award-winning S.E.C.U.R.E. GenAI Use Framework for Staff, an openly licensed decision model adopted internationally to guide responsible AI use. S.E.C.U.R.E. was recognised as AI Safety Tool of the Year at the inaugural WorldWIDE EdTech Awards and received a High Commendation at the ATEM Awards.

My research has contributed to the sector's understanding of the limitations and risks of AI detection technologies in misconduct decision-making. I am the lead author of“Heads we win, tails you lose: AI detectors in education,” recognised as Research Paper of the Year at the 2025 AI in Education Podcast Awards.

As an EDSAFE AI Catalyst Fellow, I contribute to international conversations on AI safety and education policy.

Prior to my current role, I served as Academic Director, Education Partnerships at SAE Global, overseeing academic quality and standards across nine international campuses operating within complex, multi-accreditation regulatory environments across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

I bring over nineteen years of higher education leadership experience across Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. Alongside my academic work, I remain a programmer and educational technology developer, with experience building virtual audio console simulations and AI-supported learning tools.

Before moving into higher education leadership, I spent more than a decade in commercial audio production at Turtlerock Mastering in Sydney.
