Fleishmanhillard To Close Dublin Office
(MENAFN- PRovoke)
DUBLIN - FleishmanHillard will close its Dublin office after more than 30 years as Omnicom Public Relations continues to reorganize its global operations.
In a statement released Thursday, an OPR spokesperson said the decision is part of the company's ongoing efforts to evolve how it operates across its global network.
While the FleishmanHillard office will close, OPR said it will continue supporting clients in Ireland through its broader OPR and Omnicom network and is working with each client to determine the approach that best meets its business needs. An employee consultation process is underway in accordance with Irish employment law, the company said.
Rhona Blake (pictured) has run the office as managing director since 2005. The operation has 20 employees.
The Dublin office is where FleishmanHillard chairman John Saunders started his career with the firm. Saunders led the agency in Ireland before taking on regional and global leadership roles, culminating in a nine-year tenure as president and CEO. He became chairman in October 2024 after nearly four decades with FleishmanHillard.
The move comes as OPR continues to reorganize its global operations following Omnicom's acquisition of Interpublic Group, which closed late last year. Since then, the network has consolidated Ketchum into Golin, integrated Porter Novelli into FleishmanHillard and introduced a new regional leadership structur e, that includes Weber Shandwick's Hugh Taggart serving as OPR EMEA CEO.
