Openai's First Hardware Device Can Be Doughnut-Shaped Bloomberg

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, the device will essentially be a smart speaker without a display. It is expected to have the shape of a doughnut and be roughly the size of a hockey puck. The design is intended to make it easy to carry around the home with one hand.

The device is expected to launch in 2027 and will cost more than $300.

OpenAI plans to market it as the first AI computer capable of helping users perform everyday tasks. Its distinctive design is also meant to stand out in the smart speaker market, which is currently dominated by Amazon and Google.

The company reportedly hopes the product will demonstrate that it is not simply copying Apple's hardware designs.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Apple has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and two former Apple employees, accusing the company of obtaining valuable internal information by hiring its former staff.
