Profile Articles

I am a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology at Sol Plaatje University and a PhD candidate at Nelson Mandela University in South Africa. My research focuses on information privacy, with a particular interest on how social media and mobile applications impact the security and protection of user data. Broadly I am interested in the intersection between technology and human behaviour, especially how we can design systems that respect and protect user privacy. My current research explores the intersection of religion, privacy, and social media, examining how social media shapes and challenges religious practices and privacy norms within marginalised communities. I am also engaged in curriculum innovation, promoting responsible computing and the integration of ethical technology use in higher education.
