I am a senior consultant and lecturer, specialising in space law, space governance and space policy. I am CEO and founder of the Australian Centre for Space Governance, which was established with the support of the ANU Institute for Space and is now an independent not-for profit. I am Expert Affiliate at the ANU National Security College. I have 20 years of experience in academia and strategic direction of research centres and NGOs. I have been a Senior Lecturer at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, where I taught and researched comparative criminal law and international criminal law; Executive Director of the McGill Institute for Air and Space Law; Executive Director of Women in International Security-Canada; Acting Executive Director of the University of Pennsylvania Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law; and Senior Lecturer at the ANU College of Law. I have consulted to the Australian, Canadian and US departments of defence and to DFAT and the Australian Space Agency on space law and space security, and published widely on these issues.
