Jordanian Parliamentary Delegation Visits Arab States Broadcasting Union In Tunis
Tunis, June 21 (Petra) -- A Jordanian parliamentary delegation headed by Hussein Al-Amoush, Chairman of the National Guidance and Media Committee in the Lower House, visited the Arab States Broadcasting Union in the Tunisian capital and met with the union's Director-General, Abdel Rahim Suleiman, along with senior officials.
Al-Amoush praised the union's efforts, noting that its work has earned broad consensus and support across the Arab world.
For his part, Suleiman briefed the Jordanian delegation on the union's responsibilities and activities, highlighting the significant growth in news and program exchanges among member broadcasters. He said the volume of content exchanged has reached 33 hours of radio programming per day and 12 television content packages per day.
Members of the Jordanian delegation stressed the importance of the role played by Arab parliaments. They emphasized the contribution that the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union can make in coordinating efforts to achieve shared objectives and strengthen Arab cooperation.
