Juan Zahir Naranjo Cáceres is a Colombian-Australian scholar and lecturer at the University of the Sunshine Coast (Australia), where he teaches International Justice and Human Rights. He is a PhD candidate in Political Science, International Relations, and Constitutional Law. His research examines constitutional governance, democratic resilience, and judicial institutions in comparative and global perspective, drawing connections between Latin America, Australia, and wider international developments.
He has published in the peer-reviewed journals Global Discourse (Bristol University Press) and Globalizations (Taylor & Francis), and served as Guest Editor for the special issue Regional Integration in Latin America: Critical Perspectives in the Time of Populism in Global Discourse (2024–2025).
