Amman, June 14 (Petra) – On behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti patronised the graduation ceremony of the 66th Joint Command and Staff Course (30th cohort) at the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College.

In his address delivered on Sunday, the College Commandant said the institution has continued to align its academic and training programmes with the requirements of the contemporary operational environment, in line with its institutional vision.

He noted that the College focuses on developing leadership competencies and integrating military thought with academic sciences to prepare highly qualified commanders and staff officers capable of operating within a multi-domain joint operations framework.

He added that the College has worked to translate His Majesty's vision for the modernisation of the Jordan Armed Forces by updating its curricula to include joint operations planning and concepts, as well as the evolving dimensions of modern warfare, including unmanned aerial systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and information operations.

The efforts, he said, contribute to enhancing the capabilities of staff officers and strengthening their proficiency in military decision-making processes.

Huneiti distributed certificates and awards to the graduates of the course, which grants a Bachelor of Science degree in Military Science.

The graduating class comprised officers from various branches of the Jordan Armed Forces and security agencies, as well as officers from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Yemen, Rwanda, Morocco, Tanzania, Turkey and France.

Huneiti signed the visitors' book, expressing pride in the College's role in preparing and qualifying military leaders and wishing the institution continued success and progress.

The ceremony was attended by the President of Mutah University, the Director of Public Security, senior officers from the Jordan Armed Forces and security agencies and military attachés. //Petra// AK
