Israel Strikes Southern Lebanon Again, Killing One
(MENAFN) Israeli forces carried out fresh strikes across southern Lebanon on Saturday, claiming one life in the municipality of Maarakeh in the Tyre district, Lebanon's state-owned National News Agency reported.
The pre-dawn bombardment also leveled residential homes and government structures in the town of Bint Jbeil within Nabatieh Governorate, according to the agency.
Israel's military offensive in Lebanon, which began on March 2, has now killed more than 3,700 people and left over 11,480 others wounded. More than one million Lebanese have been displaced from their homes. The strikes continue unabated despite a ceasefire declared on April 17, with daily shelling and the large-scale demolition of residential properties across dozens of villages continuing since.
