RSF Drone Strikes in Sudan’s Kordofan Kill Four, Injure Twelve
(MENAFN) Four people have been killed and 12 others wounded in drone attacks carried out by Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on civilian areas in North Kordofan state, according to a local medical group.
The Sudan Doctors Network said in a statement that RSF drones hit multiple sites in the city of El-Obeid, including the Dalil cemetery during a funeral procession.
It reported that the strike on the cemetery killed four mourners and injured seven others.
In a separate incident, RSF drones also targeted a fuel station in El-Obeid, leaving five people seriously injured, with the medical group warning that the death toll could increase due to ongoing attacks on civilian and service locations.
The network further said a truck driver was killed in the Jabal Kordofan area after his vehicle—carrying food supplies—was struck during the attacks.
It described the incident as a violation against civilians and supply routes used for essential goods, and condemned what it called the RSF’s “systematic shelling” of civilian infrastructure in El-Obeid, saying such strikes have continued repeatedly for more than a week.
