IRGC Says Israel Used Air-Launched Ballistic Missiles in Iran Strikes
(MENAFN) Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said early Monday that Israel used air-launched ballistic missiles during strikes targeting sites inside Iranian territory, according to a statement cited by Iranian media.
The claim followed reports from both Israeli and Iranian sources of coordinated Israeli air operations across western and central Iran.
The Israeli military said its air force hit what it described as military installations belonging to the “Iranian regime” in multiple locations. Iranian state media reported explosions in Tehran, as well as in Tabriz and Isfahan, while a media outlet said blasts were also heard near Karaj.
Iranian news agency reported at least three separate explosions in Isfahan during the strikes.
The developments came hours after Iran launched multiple missile barrages toward northern Israel, following an Israeli airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs. Israel said that earlier strike targeted a Hezbollah command and planning center, further fueling the escalation across the region.
