Amman, June 6 (Petra) – Jordanian food companies will begin their debut participation in the Seoul International Food and Hospitality Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Seoul, South Korea, next Tuesday.

According to a statement issued Saturday by Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), which is organizing the Jordanian participation, this step marks the Kingdom's debut presence in the exhibition, viewed the largest international food and hospitality trade show in South Korea and a key specialized event in Asia.

JEA President, Senator Ahmed Khudari, stated Jordanian participation in this three-day global event aims to promote national products, open new export channels, and build trade partnerships with importers and distributors in the South Korean market and other Asian markets.

Khudari noted the exhibition serves as a "vital trading hub" for Korean buyers, who are allowed to access premium products and learn about the latest global food industry trends.

Khudari said the Jordanian delegation features companies specializing in food industries seeking to strengthen their presence in international markets.

At the exhibition's avenues and pavilions, participants will display a "wide range" of sectors, including poultry, fish, dairy, processed and frozen foods, chocolate, desserts, soft beverages, baked goods, halal food, coffee, and tea, he pointed out.

He noted the exhibition attracts "broad" international participation from around the world, including the United States, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Canada, the Philippines, Turkey, India, Spain, Austria, Ireland, and Japan, as well as Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

As for its goals, he said Jordan's participation will contribute to highlighting "quality and competitiveness" of national products, mainly given the increasing demand in Asian markets for high-quality food products.

The presence, he said, will also support efforts to expand into export markets and enhance Jordan's position on the global food industry map.

He said the South Korean market is a "promising" destination for Jordanian products, particularly after signing the mutual economic and trade cooperation agreement, aimed to strengthen trade and investment and expand cooperation between the public and private sectors.
