Israel Murder Seventeen People in Southern Lebanon

(MENAFN) According to reports, at least 17 people were killed and 64 others injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon on Tuesday, despite an ongoing ceasefire and continued US-mediated negotiations between Lebanon and Israel.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry said five of the fatalities and 48 of the injuries occurred in strikes on the towns of Burj al-Shamali, Abba, and Tebnine.

Elsewhere, a separate drone strike reportedly killed a dentist and his two children while they were traveling on the Nabatieh–Khardali road, according to the state-run National News Agency (NNA). In another incident, two Syrian workers were killed at a plant nursery in Jebchit.

Additional strikes reportedly targeted moving vehicles in several locations, including Toul, Ansar, and the Harouf–Toul junction, with multiple fatalities confirmed in each incident, according to reports.

In Tyre district, further airstrikes killed additional civilians, while another attack on Burj al-Shamali left several more dead and injured, NNA said. A Lebanese Civil Defense center in Kfar Sir was also struck and destroyed, though it had reportedly been evacuated prior to the attack.

Lebanese officials also reported that two soldiers were moderately wounded in a separate Israeli drone strike in the Nabatieh area.
