Qatar Elected Rapporteur Of UN General Assembly's Sixth Committee For Its 81St Session

NEW YORK: The Sixth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, which is responsible for legal matters, the codification of international law, and its progressive development, has elected Abdulaziz Fadala Al Sulaiti, Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in New York, as its Rapporteur for the 81st session, which will commence its work in October 2026.

Qatar's election to this position reflects international recognition of the country's distinguished standing and active role in the work of United Nations committees.

It also underscores global appreciation for the expertise of Qatari nationals and their constructive and effective contributions in international forums.
