Kuwait Condemns Strikes, Says It Will Respond After Fatal Attack
(MENAFN) According to reports, Kuwait has condemned a series of missile and drone strikes attributed to Iran, saying the attacks caused casualties and damage to key infrastructure, including diplomatic facilities, and resulted in at least one death.
In an official statement, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry said Iranian forces carried out what it described as repeated and “brutal” strikes using ballistic missiles and drones. It added that the latest wave of attacks early Wednesday targeted civilian and strategic installations, among them Kuwait International Airport.
According to reports, the ministry confirmed that the strikes led to one fatality, several injuries, and structural damage affecting critical sites, including diplomatic missions operating in the country.
Kuwaiti authorities emphasized that they “reserves the right” to respond to the attacks, framing the statement as a firm warning while stressing that any response would be consistent with international legal frameworks.
The ministry further stated that Kuwait “full and inherent right” to take appropriate measures in response to the incidents, underscoring what it described as the need to protect national security and critical infrastructure in the face of continued escalation.
