France Blocks Israeli Official Presence at Paris Defense Fair Eurosatory

(MENAFN) France has notified Israel’s Defense Ministry that it will not allow official Israeli participation in this month’s Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris, according to reports from the Israeli side.

According to reports, the Israeli ministry said France has decided to ban the establishment of an official Israeli national pavilion at the event, which is considered one of Europe’s largest defense and arms exhibitions.

The ministry also stated that the French restrictions would limit Israeli defense firms from displaying offensive weapon systems, permitting only air defense-related technologies to be shown.

It described the move as “a disgraceful decision, one that reeks of political and commercial calculation, and regrettably, it comes as no surprise.”

According to reports, the decision comes amid rising diplomatic tensions between France and Israel over military operations in Gaza and Lebanon, alongside increasing scrutiny of arms exports linked to ongoing regional conflicts.

Eurosatory, held every two years near Paris, is one of the world’s largest defense and security fairs, bringing together military officials, government delegations, and defense companies from across the globe.
