Israeli Army Orders Evacuation of Beirut Suburbs Ahead of Airstrikes
(MENAFN) The Israeli army on Monday instructed residents of Beirut’s southern suburbs to evacuate the area ahead of anticipated airstrikes, marking what was described as another breach of the existing ceasefire arrangement.
According to reports, an evacuation notice was issued via social media by military spokesperson Avichay Adraee, who urged civilians in the targeted neighborhoods to leave “for their own safety.”
The warning followed directives from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordering strikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs, with officials citing alleged repeated violations of the ceasefire by Hezbollah, which came into effect on April 17.
