US Says It Stopped Two Iranian Missiles Targeting Troops in Kuwait


(MENAFN) The US military announced on Monday that two Iranian ballistic missiles launched toward American forces stationed in Kuwait were intercepted late Sunday, preventing any injuries or damage.

According to reports, the missiles were neutralized shortly after being detected, and no US service members were affected by the incident.

US Central Command stated that the projectiles were “immediately defeated” and confirmed that all American personnel remained safe.

The command said it "remains vigilant and will continue to protect US forces from Iranian aggression while supporting the ongoing ceasefire."

According to reports, US military officials emphasized that they remain prepared to respond to potential threats in the region while continuing efforts to uphold the existing ceasefire arrangements.
