Explosive Drone from Lebanon Wounds Four in Northern Israel

(MENAFN) Four Israelis were injured on Sunday after an explosive drone launched from Lebanon struck the settlement of Beit Hillel in the Galilee region of northern Israel, according to reports from Israeli media.

A TV channel reported that the wounded were transported to a hospital for medical treatment, though no further details were provided about the severity of their injuries.

The incident occurred just hours after the Israeli army announced the launch of what it described as a “large-scale” operation targeting the Beaufort Ridge and Wadi al-Salouqi (Saluki) area in southern Lebanon, marking what reports said was the deepest advance into Lebanese territory since 2000.

Despite a ceasefire that came into effect on April 17 and was later extended for 45 days following indirect US-mediated talks, Israeli forces have continued carrying out near-daily strikes across Lebanon.

According to Lebanese officials, Israeli attacks since March 2 have resulted in more than 3,400 deaths and 10,129 injuries, while more than 1.6 million people have been displaced.
