Three Killed in US Strikes on Drug-Trafficking Vessel in Pacific
(MENAFN) The US military killed three people aboard a suspected narco-trafficking boat in the eastern Pacific Ocean on Saturday, US Southern Command confirmed.
"Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations," the command said in a post on X.
Three male "narco-terrorists" were killed during this action and no US military forces were harmed, it added.
Saturday's strike is part of an intensifying American military campaign against suspected drug-trafficking operations at sea. Since early September, US forces have carried out dozens of lethal airstrikes targeting suspected narco vessels, accumulating a combined death toll exceeding 200 people.
