Israeli Airstrikes Expand Across Lebanon, Kill Four In South

Beirut, May 27 (Petra)-- Israeli warplanes on Wednesday afternoon widened the scope of their airstrikes on Lebanese towns and villages, heavily targeting areas in northern Bekaa, particularly the outskirts of Hermel and Halbata.

A Lebanese security source told Petra's correspondent in Beirut that Israeli warplanes continued carrying out raids on the Nabatieh district in southern Lebanon, killing four people and injuring three others.

The source added that an entire family was targeted in the town of Choukine, although the number of casualties remains unknown due to the ongoing strikes on the area.

The Israeli army also shelled several towns in the Tyre district with artillery fire, the source said.
