Burkina Faso Steps Up Ebola Prevention Measures as No Cases Reported
(MENAFN) According to reports, Burkina Faso has reinforced its preventive measures against Ebola virus disease, while health authorities emphasized that no confirmed cases have been detected in the country to date.
In a statement released on Saturday, the Ministry of Health said it has intensified epidemiological monitoring, particularly at border entry points, as part of efforts to strengthen early detection systems. Health facilities nationwide have also been placed on heightened alert to quickly identify any suspected infections.
The ministry further noted that laboratory capacities have been expanded, including the deployment of mobile labs designed to speed up confirmation of potential cases. These measures are being supported by preparations for isolation units and treatment centers, along with the activation of emergency response coordination mechanisms.
While reiterating that the country remains free of Ebola cases, health officials urged the public to remain vigilant and follow recommended health guidelines as precautionary measures continue to be strengthened.
