India, Cyprus Forge Strategic Partnership with Multi-Sector MoU Deals
(MENAFN) India and Cyprus signed a series of Memorandums of Understanding on Friday spanning counter-terrorism, research and innovation, education, and culture, in a ceremony held in New Delhi.
The agreements were inked in the presence of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also held bilateral and delegation-level discussions on the sidelines of the signing.
President Christodoulides was in India on a four-day state visit, during which the two nations agreed to elevate their bilateral ties to the level of a full strategic partnership — a significant diplomatic upgrade marking a new chapter in India-Cyprus relations.
