Prince Ali Visits Jordan Squad Ahead of First World Cup Appearance


(MENAFN) Ali bin Al Hussein, president of the Jordan Football Association, attended a training session for Jordan’s national football team on Saturday at the Nashama Training Centre located in Al Hussein Youth City.

During the visit, Prince Ali met with head coach Jamal Salami and members of the squad, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to perform strongly during its first-ever participation in the FIFA World Cup, scheduled to begin on November 11 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

According to reports, the visit helped raise team morale, with players emphasizing their commitment to delivering a strong performance on the world’s biggest football stage.

The national squad is currently participating in a training camp in Amman that will continue through Thursday before the team departs for Switzerland to play a friendly match against the Swiss national team.

Afterward, Jordan is expected to travel to the United States for another friendly fixture against Colombia national football team on June 7 as part of preparations for the World Cup tournament.

Jordan has been placed in Group 10 alongside Austria, Algeria, and Argentina.
