Pakistan Welcomes Trump-Led Regional Peace Push Involving Iran Talks

(MENAFN) Pakistan has expressed support for what it described as President Donald Trump’s “extraordinary efforts” aimed at advancing peace initiatives involving Iran, following a multilateral call with several regional leaders, according to reports.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif praised the discussions, which included participation from leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Türkiye, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Pakistan. He said the conversation offered a constructive platform to exchange views on ways to move diplomatic efforts forward and work toward lasting regional stability.

Sharif stated that Pakistan intends to continue contributing to peace efforts “with utmost sincerity,” and voiced optimism that the country could potentially host future rounds of negotiations in the near term.

According to reports, the call was framed as part of broader diplomatic activity involving regional stakeholders seeking to reduce tensions and encourage dialogue on key security issues, including developments related to Iran.

The statement highlighted Pakistan’s position as supportive of continued engagement and collective diplomatic efforts among regional powers.
