UK Maritime Agency Warns of Suspicious Vessel Activity in Gulf of Aden
(MENAFN) The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center reported Saturday that it had received alerts regarding suspicious maritime activity in the Gulf of Aden.
According to reports, multiple vessels were approached by small boats, with one larger skiff reportedly seen carrying two outboard engines, along with ladders and weapons.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, while maritime officials have advised ships navigating the area to proceed with heightened caution.
“There have been multiple reports of vessels being approached by Skiffs, a large Skiff with two outboard engines has been observed carrying both ladders and weapons,” the UKMTO said on the US social media company X.
