Gaza Bleeds: Israeli Drone Strike Kills 13-Year-Old Palestinian Child

(MENAFN) A Palestinian child was fatally struck and two others wounded Thursday when a drone targeted a civilian gathering in northern Gaza, the latest in a string of ceasefire violations dating back to the agreement's establishment last October, a medical source confirmed.

The source identified the victim as 13-year-old Joud Dweik, whose body, along with the two wounded, was received at Al-Shifa Hospital following an Israeli quadcopter drone strike that dropped a bomb on a group of civilians in the Beit Lahia area.

Thursday's deadly strike represents one in a relentless series of daily Israeli violations of the ceasefire accord that came into force across Gaza on Oct. 10, 2025.

Figures from Gaza's Health Ministry show that at least 881 people have been killed and 2,621 others injured in Israeli attacks since the truce took effect.

The ceasefire was intended to bring a definitive end to Israel's two-year military campaign — a war that has claimed more than 72,000 lives, the majority of them women and children, left over 172,000 injured since October 2023, and inflicted catastrophic destruction on the territory, with 90% of civilian infrastructure affected.
