Dr Krista Fisher is a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne and the Movember Institute of Men's Health. Krista's research explores emerging digital technologies and trends shaping young men's health, wellbeing and relationships. Her work centres on examining digital masculinity ecosystems, investigating how content, communities and cultures influence young men's beliefs, behaviours and sense of identity.

Krista was awarded a PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2024 where she developed the world first theory of young men's anxiety and mapped their pathways to help-seeking through community and emergency services. This work uncovered how unidentified and untreated anxiety in young men can lead to poor mental health outcomes across the life-course.
