UAE Launches Dh1 Billion Space Programme To Boost Sector Research

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, announced the launch of the Dh1 billion International Space Cooperation Programme.
The new project is aimed at supporting research and development in the space secto r, localising advanced technologies and empowering Emirati talent to shape the future of the industry.

He said the initiative reflects the UAE's commitment to strengthening innovation and advancing its capabilities in the space sector as part of efforts to build a knowledge-based future economy and reinforce the country's position among global leaders in the field.
Sheikh Hamdan also highlighted the UAE's pioneering achievements in space, expressing confidence in the ability of Emirati youth to transform ambition into accomplishments that contribute to a better future for humanity.
