Israeli Gunfire Kills Two Palestinians in Gaza
(MENAFN) Two Palestinians were killed and four others wounded by Israeli gunfire across the Gaza Strip on Monday, medical sources reported, marking the latest in a series of ceasefire violations as a fragile truce struggles to hold.
According to medical sources, the body of one Palestinian man and two wounded individuals were received at Nasser Medical Complex, located west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, following an Israeli strike near the Bani Suheila roundabout. Eyewitnesses on the ground reported that an Israeli drone targeted a cluster of civilians in the vicinity, causing the casualties.
A Palestinian child separately succumbed Monday to wounds sustained in a drone strike that struck Bani Suheila last Thursday, medical sources confirmed.
In northern Gaza, two more young Palestinians were struck by Israeli shelling in the Jabalia refugee camp — one of them in critical condition.
The attacks come despite a ceasefire agreement that has officially been in force since October 10, 2025. The Israeli military has continued offensive operations across the territory in defiance of the truce.
Figures released by Gaza's Health Ministry paint a stark picture of the ongoing toll: at least 877 Palestinians have been killed and a further 2,602 wounded since the agreement took effect.
The ceasefire was brokered following two years of conflict that officials and health authorities say has devastated roughly 90% of civilian infrastructure across the besieged territory.
