Gaza Health Officials Report New Fatalities Despite Ongoing Ceasefire

(MENAFN) Gaza’s Health Ministry announced Monday that six Palestinians were killed and 40 others wounded during Israeli attacks carried out over the past 24 hours, despite a ceasefire that has officially remained in effect since October last year.

In a statement, the ministry said the latest casualties raised the total number of Palestinians killed since October 2023 to 72,769, while the number of injured climbed to 172,704.

Authorities did not release specific information regarding the exact circumstances surrounding the latest deaths.

According to medical sources cited in reports, the casualties resulted from Israeli strikes targeting several areas across Gaza on Monday, including Gaza City, Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, and Khan Younis in the southern part of the enclave.

As stated by reports, Israeli military operations have continued in Gaza despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025.

The Health Ministry said that since the truce began, at least 877 Palestinians have been killed and another 2,602 injured.

According to reports, the ceasefire followed two years of war that caused massive destruction throughout Gaza, damaging around 90% of civilian infrastructure across the territory.
