Safadi Condemns Attack On UAE Power Station, Reaffirms Jordan's Solidarity


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed over a phone call with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan the consequences of the“blatant” attack near the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in Abu Dhabi.

Safadi voiced the Kingdom's condemnation of the attack as a“dangerous escalation and a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter,” according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

Safadi reaffirmed Jordan's full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and support for all measures taken to safeguard the country's sovereignty, national security, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

The two top diplomats also discussed ways to strengthen international cooperation and intensify joint efforts
